Where is the Aether Compass in FFXIV Endwalker?

Since Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward, The Aether Compass has helped the Warrior of Light search for Aether Currents to grant flying. But in the latest expansion, Endwalker, the Aether Compass disappeared from the Key Item section of the Inventory and now has a new location.

In Endwalker, you can now find the Aether Compass in the Collections bar in the Menu. To find this, you’ll need to navigate your menu bar to the Duty section. The Collection should be the second option, below Recommendations, and above Key Items.

In the Collection tab, you will find the Aether Compass below the Yo-Kai Medallium, Portable Archive, Field Record, and any other collection items you’ve acquired.

Luckily, that’s the only thing that’s changed. The Aether Compass still functions exactly the same as before but no longer takes up inventory space, meaning you have more room for quest items, your Khloe’s Tails journal, and more.

To use the Aether Compass, click on the item in the Collections bar and the compass will detect the nearest Aether Current and direct you towards it. It’ll also give you a distance and a direction, helping you pinpoint the location. Once you’re there, click on the Aether Current, a swirling green orb, to acquire it.

Once you’ve acquired all the Aether Currents in an area, you’ll be able to fly there. Note that some Aether Currents are acquired from quests that will have to be completed before you can acquire them.
