Roblox Jailbreak x Nascar Skin Contest announcement and how to enter | Oct. 2021

The fan-favorite cops and robbers style Roblox experience Jailbreak is partnering up with professional racing company NASCAR to bring a special new vehicle to the game in an upcoming event. However, there's a slight catch—this new vehicle will be created by a Robloxian just like you!

If you have an eye for design, or even if you just want to join for fun, Jailbreak is encouraging all eligible players to take part in their Skin Contest for the chance to win 500,000 Jailbreak Cash, $500, and even have their own design added to to the experience! Announcement

On Oct. 22, 2021, Badimo, the development team behind Jailbreak, announced on Twitter and Reddit that they would be hosting a contest in collaboration with NASCAR that will challenge players to create and design their own vehicle skins. The top five designers will each earn $500 USD and 500,000 Jailbreak Cash, while the top two designers will also be awarded by having their custom design added into the Jailbreak experience.

The Skin Contest is open from Oct. 22, 2021, to 11:59 p.m. EST on Nov. 1, 2021. However, only users in the United States and over the age of 13 will be able to enter.

How to enter

Though it may seem overwhelming, creating a design for this contest can be done by anyone! As described in Badimo's Reddit post, there are no specific design requirements in terms of the editing software used, so this contest is truly open to anyone regardless of experience. Read and abide by the designated contest rules

Designs are allowed to feature NASCAR logos only

Create a unique design using the editor of your choice that represents Roblox, NASCAR, and/or Jailbreak

Submit your finished design via Imgur in the comments of Badimo's Reddit post.

Keep in mind that winners will be contacted via Reddit, so it's important to keep your message notifs on!

Testing your design

To help users better view their designs, Badimo has created a test world that can be accessed by following the steps below.

Download the Roblox Studio file

Upload your completed design on Roblox's Create page and click Decals on the left.

Click on your newly uploaded Decal.

Locate the address bar at the top of the screen and copy only the numbers for your image.

In Studio, select the car model of your choice and locate the properties panel.

If you can't locate the properties panel, go to View and then select Properties

Paste the numbers that you copied in step four into the TextureID slot that appears when the car model is selected.

Press Enter on your keyboard.

Your image should now appear on the car model for you to preview.

Be sure to keep in mind that this contest ends at the end of the day on Nov. 1, so get your designs in while you can! Also, keep in mind that though not everyone will be a winner, this content is still a great opportunity to practice your design skills and add to the excitement of the NASCAR x Jailbreak event coming soon!
