Princess Connect Re:Dive Tier List

Princess Connect Re:Dive is one of the best party-building games on mobile, combining cute characters with a great game-loop and engaging events. After a while with the game, you’ll likely find yourself swamped with characters with no idea who’s best and who should be ignored.

Below is an overall tier list based on all game modes. While some characters have greater success in specific game modes (one girl might be great for clearing the main quest, while useless in the battle arena), this is a general tier list of their ability across all quests.

Note: This list excludes celebration and seasonal characters. Because these characters can often only be acquired once a year, or not at all, they’ve not been included. Additionally, apart from minor differences, many seasonal characters have the same abilities as their standard counterparts.

S Tier

  • Maho
  • Monika
  • Tamaki
  • Jun
  • Miyako
  • Tsumugi
  • Nozomi

Maho is the best caster in the game. Her ability to boost mana with her Union Burst and healing skills make her perfect for any comp. Monika’s raw damage cannot be matched for the middle position. Tamaki is the ideal DPS due to her ability to kill backline healers and casters. Tsumugi is an excellent alternative.

For tanks, you can’t get better than Jun and Miyako. Jun is more gear-based, as she relies on surviving to get her Union Burst off. On the other hand, Miyako has so much mitigation and healing that she is practically broken on the front lines. Nozomi has ridiculous tankiness, colossal damage, and extraordinary support abilities. It’s bizarre how this character is allowed to remain this strong for so long.

A-Tier

  • Illya
  • Saren
  • Kokkoro
  • Arisa
  • Yukari
  • Misato
  • Kyoka
  • Mitsuki
  • Ninon
  • Djeeta
  • Kuka

Despite Illya’s Memory Shards being hard to acquire, the vampire girl can punch well above her weight, even four or even three-star rank. Likewise, characters like Saren, Kokkoro, Yukari, etc., are easy to acquire and ascend to max rank, so they can quickly fill out your roster.

Recent drops such as Yukari and Misato are great backliners but have fallen off in power as other characters have leveled up. They’re also hard to farm Memory Shards for.

Kuka is the number three tank in the game. She should see a lot of use in your Princess Arena squads and secondary Clan Battle teams.

B-Tier

  • Eriko
  • Pecorine
  • Anna
  • Shizuru
  • Hatsune
  • Mimi
  • Rino
  • Akino
  • Matoko
  • Chika
  • Yuki
  • Shinobu
  • Matsuri

These characters are ideal if you lack the S or A ranks in your position, but honestly, they shouldn’t be taking up your Jewels or Divine Amulets. Some of these would have been A, such as Matoko, Pecorine, and Eriko, but their abilities have fallen off as new characters were added.

Some characters also have situational use or specific positions in compositions. Mimi and Hatsune fall into this category. However, outside those limited uses, you’ll struggle to find a place for them.

C-Tier

  • Yui
  • Aoi
  • Rima
  • Kaori
  • Kyaru
  • Shiori
  • Kurumi
  • Suzuna
  • Mifuyu
  • Ayane
  • Rei
  • Misaki

The only reason you’d be using these characters is if you’d managed to ascend them to four and five stars without realizing. Some have situational value, but for the most part, these should be very low down on your list for ascending or sinking Divine Amulets into. They probably won’t find a place in any of your parties.

D-Tier

  • Misogi
  • Yori
  • Akari
  • Hiyori
  • Mahiru
  • Rin
  • Suzume

These characters shouldn’t be in any of your parties unless they’re your favorite girl or you like them for some other reason than their abilities. With lackluster skills and a pretty hard ceiling for how effective they’ll be, there’s no point using these characters for anything but fun or themed parties.
