League of Legends How To Get Prestige Points (2019 & 2020)
Our League of Legends How To Earn Prestige Points guide takes a look at everything you need to know about getting LoL Prestige Points and what you can spend them on. You'll want to get these as soon as you can, because some of the cosmetics will be unavailable in the near future!
2019 Prestige Skins are coming off the shelves February 3, 2020, and will only be available as random loot from Hextech Crafting after that date. This means you only have until February 3rd to purchase the following skins:
- Bewitching Miss Fortune
- Blood Moon Aatrox
- Fuzz Fizz
- K/DA Ahri
- K/DA Evelynn
- Pulsefire Thresh
- Star Guardian Neeko
Let's talk about the different options you have to get 100 Prestige Points and purchase one of these before they're gone from the shop.
Night & Dawn Event Pass (125 Prestige Points)
This is going to be your most cost effective option as the Night & Dawn Event Pass costs just 1650 Riot Points in the shop, for reference you can get 1380 RP for $10. You can get a lot of cool rewards and other Hextech Crafting items from the pass, but let's just identify the 2 ways we can get Prestige Points after purchasing it.
25 PP - Missions
You can generate 25 Prestige Points just by playing a League of Legends game on Summoner's Rift, Howling Abyss (ARAM), or even Teamfight Tactics! You will receive 5 quests one after another to win games (in TFT, placing in the top 4 counts as a win), each rewarding 5 Prestige Points.
100 PP - Purchase with 2200 Event Tokens
Once you have the Event Pass, you will generate tokens for each game you play, as well as bonus tokens for your 'First Win of the Day' bonus that typically only awards Blue Essence. Play enough to generate 2200 Tokens and you can purchase 100 Prestige Points!
Note: You can only make the 100 PP purchase once. This means you cannot save up 4400 Event Tokens and purchase 200 PP etc.
Masterwork Chest Bundles with Prestige Points
You can purchase the following bundles in the shop:
- 225 RP: 1 Masterwork Chest & Key + 1 Prestige Point
- 1125 RP: 5 Masterwork Chests & Keys + 6 Prestige Points
- 2250 RP: 11 Masterwork Chests & Keys + 13 Prestige Points
This option is significantly more expensive than getting points through the Night & Dawn Event Pass, but allows you to get Prestige Points without spending hours in games completing missions or gathering Event Tokens.
Note: If you are looking to start gathering 2020 Prestige Points, they will be purchasable in similar bundles beginning January 15, 2020. This will be your first opportunity to save up some points toward the confirmed Riot Games x Louis Vuitton prestige edition skin: True Damage Senna.
What if I can't get 100 Prestige Points to buy a skin?
