How to use the camera in Phasmophobia
In Phasmophobia, finding the ghost, you're up against will save you a world of hurt in the long run. Trying things blindly, hoping it'll work is likely to get you murdered by the ghost. You are a Paranormal Investigator, knowing the denizens of the night are your job, and it's your job to step up top the task! One of the main pieces of your equipment is the Camera and knowing how to place it, and the most beneficial place to put it is essential in your line of work!
How to place the camera in Phasmophobia
The camera is one of the main weapons in your fight against the ghost, as gaining evidence to find out what ghost type you are facing is paramount. Acquiring footage of said ghost helps identify your foe, and the more evidence you have, the better.
First off, the camera has to be found; luckily, it's always in the back of your Truck on the shelves. There are actually 2 cameras of different sizes. The smaller one is a camera, and the bigger one is a video recorder. Choose the bigger one and then head-on into the haunted place.
When the camera is equipped, outlines of the camera should appear as you're moving around. These outlines are the places that you can put the video camera and are normally found in nooks and crannies. Find the outline that you think has the best view of the room, then place it. Next, you can rotate the camera, press the Left Mouse click, which allows you to move the camera angle to where you want to be.
If possible, try and cover the broadest area you can because it will fail to capture footage of the ghost if it's not correct.
Turn on the camera by pressing right-click. Then mosey on back to your Truck, and check the recordings. While in the Truck, you can mouse click to switch between various camera angle views. The camera is always equipped with a night vision feature, which is enabled automatically; this will capture the ghost even if it's pitch black inside the room.
If your job is watching the footage, take note, and if you see a ghost, although it might take a while, communicate to your team instantly, with details of where the camera is, where it was heading are all vital nuggets of information. Word of the warning to you, be wary of jump scares as if you're concentrating too hard, because if the ghost suddenly appears, you're in for a fright!
