Valorant is an immensely popular free-to-play multiplayer FPS game averaging about 14 million players per month. Players complain about bugs, game crashes, and engine failures, which players can fix most of the time. However, sometimes the only way to fix the game is by uninstalling and reinstalling it.

How to uninstall VALORANT?

• In the Task Bar of your Windows OS, click on the upward arrow key at the bottom right corner of the screen to show hidden icons.
• Right-click with your mouse on the Vanguard icon and hit Exit to close the anti-cheat software.
• Go to the Control Panel by typing it in the search bar. Moreover, you can open the Control Panel by pressing keys Windows + R > typing 'control' > pressing enter.
• Head over to Program > Program and Features, and you shall land on the 'Uninstall or change a program feature' tab.
• Right-click on the Riot Vanguard and select uninstall.
• After the Vanguard uninstallation is finished, right-click on Valorant and press uninstall. Finally, the game is uninstalled from your device.

How to reinstall / install VALORANT?

• Head over to the official Valorant website by clicking here.
• Click the 'Play Free' icon to open up the Riot account prompt.
• Sign in to your existing Riot account. You can also create a new account by an email address, Google account, Apple user id, or Facebook account.
• Once logged in, hit the 'Download' icon to load an application to your PC.
• The downloaded file named 'Install VALORANT.exe' will be situated in your downloads folder. Run this .exe file.
• On the Riot Games installation window, click on 'Advanced' to select the installation drive and location for the game.
• Press 'Install' and let the Riot client install some basic files.
• After a short download of around 200 MB, a new window will pop up. Let it update and install the full Valorant game.
• You'll have to sign up again and accept the terms of service to proceed. Check 'Stay Signed In' if you don't want to enter your password every time you run the game.
• After the installation is complete, restart your computer/laptop.
• Click on the Valorant shortcut on your desktop and enjoy the game.
