How to play Among Us in Roblox

Among Us has really caught fire across the gaming world and while you can play the normal game for free on your phone, it can sometimes be a better experience to jump onto a platform that you already know. Well, Roblox is there for you because as usual some game developer has been "inspired" by Among Us and has created what amounts to a carbon copy of the game. If you've got a bunch of friends in Roblox already, this is a great way to join up with them and try out this new sensation to see what all the fuss is about!

How to play Among Us in Roblox

If you want to play Among Us in Roblox, then the game you are looking for is Impostor. This features all of the same type of play you'd expect from the original, but in the world of Roblox. The game is currently in beta, so there might be some bugs that you experience while in it, but when I tried it out it played very well.

If you aren't sure how to play the game, I will explain the basics. You are either an innocent or the impostor. The innocents run around the map attempting to complete tasks, while the impostor tries to murder the innocents. If an innocent finds a body, or sees something suspicious they can call a meeting. During this meeting you will vote for who you think the impostor is. As an innocent, if you can vote out the impostors or complete all the tasks you will win. If you are an impostor, your goal is to kill innocents until the amount left equals the amount of impostors that were in the game!

There are some differences in gameplay to the original Among Us. For instance, when you jump into a meeting, you won't have voice activity. You will need to type in the chat room and either defend yourself or accuse others of being the Impostor. This kind of takes away a bit of the fun, because the verbal part of the game is a lot of the fun that can be had within it!

I don't necessarily condone what Impostor is doing by pretty much copying Among Us, it is still a nice way to give the game a shot if you've been considering. If you do end up liking the gameplay, consider purchasing the original game for your PC or spending a little money on the mobile version. The original developers deserve the spoils for what they've created, so try to make them feel the love! It's also possible that Impostor gets removed, because it seems like Roblox has been cracking down on game copies that skirt too close to the originals.
