Once you're inside the Cannon, you can turn and aim in the direction you want to be launched. Pressing the right trigger or M1 will fire the Cannon, but once you hold the left trigger or M2, you will load yourself inside. You'll want to hold down the button until you're ready to launch.
Launch yourself
As you're holding down the left trigger or M2 button, you will press the right trigger or M1 to launch yourself out of the Cannon in the direction you are aiming. You will see your character ball up in a cannonball-type motion and fly into the air.
Deploy your glider
The Cannon will launch you a decent distance away, and you can choose to deploy your glider. Deploying your glider will help you venture even further in the direction you want to go. Many of these Cannons are close to each other, meaning you can quickly launch back and forth and dodge opponents, collect loot, or escape the storm.
