How to fix mouse input lag in Battlefield 2042

If you are experiencing mouse input lag in Battlefield 2042, you are not alone, and there are several ways to fix the lag. Start by heading into Controller Settings in the game and unbind all joystick settings.

Following this first fix, we recommend going into the game settings and making a few changes to controller, mouse, and keyboard settings.

Under the On Foot section of mouse and keyboard, you will want to change Uniform Soldier Aiming and Zoom Transition off. For controller settings, you will want to head into the same category, On Foot, and change the following controller settings.

SettingWhat to change?
AImSet both Soldier Aim Assist and Zoom Snap to zero.
AdvanceSet Aiming Left and Right Acceleration to zero; Vertical Aim Ratio and Vertical Zoom Ratio to 100; and Coefficient to 178

Other fixes for any mouse input lag you may be experiencing in the game include turning off V-Sync and reducing the polling rate in your mouse. To reduce the polling rate, all you need to do is go into your mouse's software and look for the setting.

For example, with our Steel Series mouse, the poling rate setting was at the bottom of our mouse profile. That said, find the setting and change it to something around 500hz and see if it helps.
