How to fix hostile NPCs in Elden Ring
Elden Ring features a large cast of NPCs throughout the Lands Between that can give you quests, act as a vendor, or even join you in fights. However, sometimes you might find yourself accidentally attacking the NPC or doing it on purpose and regretting it later. So how can you fix hostile NPCs in Elden Ring?
There are many confusing interactions with NPCs, like attacking Albus in a pot before talking to him or meeting Sellen being kept prisoner. One wrong hit can turn an NPC hostile, taking away any quest opportunities or vendor sales. There is a way to reverse all hostilities done to NPCs, including killing them. Obtaining a Celestial Dew and using it at the pool in the Church of Vows will reverse all hostile actions against NPCs, giving you a second chance at talking to them.

There are six places to find Celestial Dew in Elden Ring, as it is a pretty rare item that does not spawn again. Here are the locations to find Celestial Dew:
- Sold by the Nomadic Merchant in Ainsel River
- Found on a corpse hanging off a cliff in the Uhl Palace Ruins
- Found on a corpse in the corner at the bottom of a ruin in Nokron.
- Found on a corpse by the side of the road in Night's Sacred Ground.
- Found on a corpse in Nokstella.
- Sold by Pidia, Carian Servant at Caria Manor. Only accessible by dropping down the cliffs from the southwestern side of the Three Sisters sub-area.
Church of Vows
After obtaining the Celestial Dew, you will head to the Church of Vows located on a cliffside in eastern Liurnia. If you follow the road north from the Carian Study Hall, you will reach the Eastern Tableland Site of Grace. Follow the western road, and you will come to the Church of Vows.
Once there, you will meet a giant turtle named Miriel. Go past them and approach the pool towards the back of the church. A prompt will come up to get absolution. After selecting this, all hostile NPCs will revert to normal, and all killed NPCs will return to their normal place as unhostile.
