How to complete the Give Crystal to a Farm Dragon request in Rune Factory 5
One of the early requests in Rune Factory 5 comes from Heinz. He’ll ask you to deliver a crystal to your Earth Dragon, giving you five crystal fragments, and will not elaborate. Here’s how to complete the request.
The process is very simple. Walk to Heinz’ shop and have those fragments turned into an Ice Crystal. It’s free of charge. Once you have your Ice Crystal, warp to your Earth Dragon and walk to an arrow point near its head.
A series of options will appear—one of them being to offer a crystal to the dragon. Give it your crystal and it will summon rain to the field. The quest is complete!

By the way, Crystals aren’t just used as dragon fodder. You can also use them to upgrade equipment and craft amazing late-game weapons and armor.
If you want more crystals, you will need to either defeat monsters in hopes that they will drop fragments of it or mine it from ores. Monster Gates will also, very rarely, drop them.
