How to change fire mode in Battlefield 2042

In Battlefield 2042, players can choose from different fire modes for their weapons. For example, the M5A3 Assault Rifle has two fire modes—full-auto and single-fire. On the other hand, the G57 handgun comes with single-fire and burst-fire modes.

To change the fire mode of your weapon, press "V" on the keyboard or "Down on D-Pad" on your controller. These are the default controls to cycle fire mode in Battlefield 2042. You can change it by following the steps below:

  • Go to "Options" from the in-game menu or home screen.
  • Select the "Key Bindings" tab and head over to the "On Foot" column.
  • Scroll down until you find "Fire Mode." Modify the control for your desired input method, i.e., keyboard, mouse, or controller.

  • Full-Auto Mode: Normal crosshair with four vertical lines around the center dot.
