How to change armor in Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands

Unlike previous entries in the Borderlands series, Fatemakers have much more agency over their character's appearance in Tiny Tina's Wonderlands. Rather than just changing a headpiece and colors, Fatemakers can put on entirely new outfits. While this may be the case, many are left to wonder just how they're supposed to get all fancy with new armor.

Armor appearance is literally tied to the equipped armor. To change appearance and armor, players will want to swap out their armor. You can do this by going into the backpack (inventory) and pressing the console/PC appropriate button to equip it. Alternatively, Fatemakers can select the armor they are currently wearing, and this will bring up the list of options in the backpack to swap out with. This is the bottom middle option under Gear.

Unfortunately, this means that players must play the fashion game versus the stat game. Those that want the best look for their class might have to sacrifice boosted perks and traits. Those that can't bear the thought of their Spore Warden sporting a Graveborn outfit but want the perks will sacrifice form for function.

It's not the best system and one that gamers everywhere wish would disappear. Transmog has been a thing for ages, and tying cosmetics to stats never made much sense. Hopefully, Gearbox gets wise and implements some sort of transmog, so players get that much more agency over their characters.
