How to age up toddlers in The Sims 4
Aging is a huge part of life, especially in The Sims 4, in which growth milestones can come and go in a matter of days, hours, and sometimes even minutes. Toddlers, unfortunately, fall somewhere around the latter and can age up when you least expect them to. The good news there, though, is that you can decide when to nudge them into the next stage of childhood, so long as you have a couple of things.
If you want to age up your toddler, the first thing you will need to do is bake a cake. You can no longer buy cakes from buy mode, you have to manually make them. To do this:

Once this has been completed, a prompt box will pop up to confirm that the chosen child has aged up. Depending on how you raised them, you might receive a reward trait. You can increase your chances of getting a special trait by teaching them Communication, Movement, and Imagination before baking the cake.
