How many players in Total War: Warhammer 3 Co-op?
In the Total War: Warhammer series, co-op is a huge part of the appeal of the game, and Total War: Warhammer 3 is no exception. Working together with friends in a joint campaign where you conquer the whole world while brokering an uneasy peace with each other is incredibly fun.
Co-op was limited to just two players in previous titles, but in Total War: Warhammer 3, that’s being increased to eight players total. In an interview with PCGamesN, game director Ian Roxburgh revealed that the campaign would have an eight-person co-op mode.

In addition, the game’s director hinted at mini multiplayer campaigns that allow you to “start and finish an eight-player multiplayer campaign in one evening with friends.” In the past, thanks to the considerable length of turns and the complexity of the game, doing more than a few turns in an evening was a lengthy process.
With these mini-campaigns, playing with more players is likely to be much more manageable. But these mini-campaigns won’t take away from the Grand Campaign, which is, of course, the big selling point of Total War: Warhammer 3.
What’s more, the considerable slowdown point in Total War: Warhammer’s previous games was the fact that player turns would take so long. Now, you can have simultaneous player turns for maximum efficiency. Overall, it seems like multiplayer in Total War: Warhammer 3 will be better than ever.
