How Many GB Is Apex Legends? Full Download Size and information
Looking to join the Apex Games, but you're not sure if your computer/console has what it takes? With the latest update on the horizon, we're here to help. First, the Apex Legends' actual specs are more misleading than they appear on the surface.
On the official site, it lists the minimum for GB storage as 22 GB. Minimum being the keyword, with all the updates, maps, and new legends. Players should expect the download to run at about roughly 60GB.
While the recommended hard drive space is a touch misleading. The other PC recommendations by Respawn are fairly objective:
- 64-bit Windows 7
- Intel i5 4570K CPU
- 8GB RAM
- Nvidia GeForce GTX 970/AMD
- Radeon R9 290 with 8GB of GPU RAM

This is the part where the console players laugh at us. As Apex on console is ready to play and operate immediately after download. However, the download size for both XBOX and PlayStation is still the same. Whether you are playing on PC or Console, expect to free up 60GB worth of space. Nintendo Switch has the upper hand here though, as users have clocked the file size to only be around 30GB.
This is likely due to the Switch having less power than its Microsoft and Sony counterparts, but 30GB is a large download size for the Switch nonetheless.
The moral of the story here is that, like most games as a service, the file size will grow with each patch, each update to the game. So make sure if you're playing Apex and already have the game installed to keep some file space open near update season.
