How fast can you beat Dragon Age: Inquisition?

Year ago, Dragon Age: Inquisition was recently proven to be beatable in only 29 minutes. It's a good speedrun time, but not something you'd want to do if you wanted to experience the whole game without missing major events.

Players can complete the game without missing major beats or story details in about 27 hours. It doesn't leave anything out of the story if you just follow the maps needed for the main story and skip the others.

How long is Dragon Age: Inquisition?

Several maps provide stories in their own right, and the main plot is not overly lengthy. The majority of the main story is around characters joining the Inquisition.

There are 10 explorable maps available to the player, but only seven or eight are essential to completing the game. The Storm Coast, for example, only requires the player to find a character and a specific location, but the player can disregard the location in an hour. That means that players can just ignore a majority of this map.

What also adds to playtime are Inquisition Missions. Players must send their inquisitions on missions to access the new maps but they're all timed. As a result, players are forced to complete side quests while waiting for the timer to expire. As the game goes on, Inquisition missions can take a considerable amount of time to complete.

The mission tracker will show which areas are needed to move forward with the story. If you do a bit of everything and absorb the story while enjoying the game, you will only need 25-30 hours for a regular playthrough.
