Can you choose your race in Lost Ark?
Lost Ark is a newly released action MMO that incorporates the Korean-style online game in the MMO package. But with this new fantasy MMO, are you able to select your character’s race? Ultimately, you cannot directly choose your class in Lost Ark via character creation.
However, you can specify your race by choosing a class appropriate to the race you wish to play. This also amounts to genders, as genders are locked to different classes.
The two main player character races in Lost Ark are Elves and Humans. Warriors, Martial Artists, Gunners, Assassins, and all their subclasses are humans. Meanwhile, Mages, Bards, and Summoners are Elves.
To choose your class, you’ll have to select the appropriate race, choosing Mage if you want to be an Elf, and any other class if you wish to be Human. Even though Dwarfs are in the game, you cannot choose one as a race—as no class uses a Dwarf.

In the future, with DLC, perhaps it may be possible for you to play more races, as more classes and advanced classes are released, but as of now, it’s only possible to be a Human or Elf.
The world of Lost Ark is inhabited by an array of different races, such Elves, Humans, Dwarves, Demons, and other fantasy races for you to interact with.
