All stray Fairy locations in the Woodfall Temple – The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask (N64/Switch version)

Skull Kid has been using Majora's Mask to make a mess of things in the Southern Swamp, tainting the land's once crystal-clear waterways with a powerfully putrid poison. As a result, the residential Great Fairy's body has shattered into 15 miniature fairies, and you're the only one who can round them up to restore her former glory. Finding all 15 can be a bit tricky, however, so we're here to help—here are all Stray Fairy locations in Woodfall Temple.

Where to find the Woodfall Temple Stray Fairies

The Stray Fairies hiding in this eerie temple glow with a pink hue, and there are a total of 15 fairies scattered throughout the Woodfall Temple. Their locations are as follows:

  • First Floor
    • One: The first fairy is near the temple's entrance. Use the Great Fairy's Mask to draw this fairy toward Link.
    • Two: The second fairy is trapped within a chest on the second platform.
    • Three: Defeat the Deku Baba at the end of the wooden ramp to release this fairy.
    • Four: The fourth fairy is trapped within a pot in the corner of the room.
    • Five: This fairy is trapped within the beehive on the wall. Use the Deku Mask's bubbles to knock the beehive loose.
    • Six: Defeat the Skulltula in the corner of the room to release this fairy.
    • Eight: The eighth fairy is trapped within a bubble on the room's top level.
    • Nine: This fairy is trapped within a chest. Stepping on the switch near the unlit torch will make the chest appear.
    • Ten: You'll find this fairy trapped within a beehive hanging from the platform. Use the Hero's Bow to knock it loose.
    • Eleven: The eleventh fairy is trapped within a bubble beneath the walkway. Use the Hero's Bow to release it.
    • Twelve: This fairy is trapped within a bubble on the right side of the room.
    • Thirteen: You'll find this fairy trapped within a bubble on a platform above the twelfth Stray Fairy.
    • Fourteen: The fourteenth fairy is trapped within a bubble on the left side of the room.
    • Fifteen: The final fairy is trapped within a bubble in a column of flames. Use the Hero's Bow to release the fairy, then the Great Fairy's Mask to draw it toward Link.
  • Second Floor
    • Seven: The seventh fairy is trapped within a chest on the second floor. Defeat the group of Black Boes to make the chest appear.

Woodfall Temple Stray Fairy reward

Once you've collected all 15 Stray Fairies, exit Woodfall Temple and use the nearby Deku Flowers to reach the Great Fairy Fountain. Upon entering the fountain as human Link, the wayward fairies will group together to reform the Great Fairy of Power in all her splendor. You'll be rewarded with the Magic Spin Attack in return, which can be used by pressing and holding B to imbue your sword with magic, then releasing B to unleash a devastating circular swing!
