All Status Effects in Horizon Forbidden West
Horizon Forbidden West is the latest installment in the popular Horizon series from Guerrilla Games that continues the story of Aloy as she aims to save the world from rogue AI and a dying world. She'll find plenty of Status Effects on her journey that she can use in battle, and Machines may use them against her in turn.

Status Effect | Description | Effect |
---|---|---|
Adhesive | Builds to the Slowed State | Enemies in the Slowed State cannot move quickly or use specific attacks. Aloy moves much slower when Slowed. |
Berserk | Builds to the Berserk Stage | Berserk enemies will attack the nearest target even if they are friendly. |
Crushed | Builds to the Crushed Stage | Performing physical actions like jumping, rolling, and running during the Crushed Stage will drain health. |
Consumables Blocked | Build to the Consumables Blocked Stage | During this State, Aloy cannot use Potions, Food, or healing via Medicinal Berries. This Status Effect impacts only Aloy. |
Focus Scrambled | Builds to the Focus Scrambled Stage | The Focus is temporarily disabled, preventing Aloy from scanning enemies and seeing patrol paths. This Status Effect influences only Aloy. |
Damage Dampened | Builds to the Damage Dampened Stage | During the Damage Dampened State, the amount of damage dealt decreases temporarily. |
Damage Amplified | Builds to the Damage Amplified Stage | During the Damage Amplified State, the amount of damage output increases temporarily. |
Stamina Drain | Builds to the Stamina Drained Stage | Weapon Stamina Drained Stage will drain over time, removing the ability to use Weapon Techniques. The State only impacts Aloy. |
Blinded | Builds to the Blinding Stage | In the Blinding State, your surroundings become challenging to see. |
Deafened | Builds to the Deafeaned State | Aloy will cover her ears and unequip her weapon during the Deafened State. Only Aloy can get Deafened. |
Tracked | Builds to the Tracked State | Enemies can track Aloy's location during this State, even in cover. This State only impacts Aloy. |
Binding | Builds to the Tied Down State | Machines in the Tied Down State are temporarily inactive, and damaging them allows them to break free from the Tied Down State more quickly. |
