All known glitches in Life is Strange Remastered

The Life is Strange Remaster is here, and we're very excited about it. It's been seven years since it was originally released, and although it looked great, it has now had some next-gen improvements. However, it hasn't quite managed to escape a glitchless release.

We would just like to note that the remaster looks beautiful, and the updates to facial features and lighting have been a great boost to the game. These glitches are just what we have noticed whilst re-playing through the story.

Glitchy Edges

If you look closely at the right-hand edge of the image above, you will see some red, which looks like it could be code, and some blue bleeding in at the bottom where Max stood.

It is, in fact, just some color glitching that keeps coming through. Although it isn't constantly prominent, color glitching does pop up now and then, depending on which scene you are in. We also noticed it when taking one of the pictures for our photo guide, which you can see below.

Subtitles Not Loading in Episode 2: Out of Time

Instead of subtitles in Episode 2: Out of Time, it currently shows the file name for the voice-over clip being played. Although this is obviously not meant to happen, it is quite interesting to see what they name each audio file, but it does mean that players presently have to rely solely on hearing the lines.

Staggered Movements

The lighting improvements are a really nice touch to this upgraded version of the game, but at times in certain cutscenes, it appears as though the game is trying to register the update, flicking between a darker version and a lighter version.

This would be common on a PC that hasn't been upgraded and is not powerful enough to run the game, but it's strange for a next-gen console version.

Lighting

The lighting improvements are a really nice touch to this upgraded version of the game, but at times in certain cutscenes, it appears as though the game is trying to register the update, flicking between a darker version and a lighter version.

It isn't often and seemed to occur more in scenes where it was dark inside a room with a light source slightly shining in. There was also some noted lighting blowout when first talking with Dana in her room.

It definitely isn't a deal-breaker, but it is slightly noticeable if you have played the previous version of the game.

Overlapping Music

At one point, after reloading a checkpoint in the junkyard, we noticed that the menu music randomly started playing over the top of the soundtrack for the cutscene. After pausing and unpausing, it stopped and returned to normal, but it was a strange mish-mash for a second.

Hopefully, these will be fixed with some subsequent updates, and we still heartily recommend the game if you have yet to experience it.
