All Character Backgrounds and their effects in Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands
Tiny Tina's Wonderlands allows players to create a character from scratch, crafting their ideal roleplay conduit. Not only can users choose character look and class, but even the backgrounds for this character are customizable. Choose the story that best suits your creation before venturing into the Wonderlands.
What are Character Backgrounds?
Character Backgrounds are archetypes that users can select while making their characters. Each Character Background has unique effects on player stats by bolstering some stats and lowering others. Every background comes with a unique and exciting story to flesh out your in-game character.

Village Idiot
Village Idiots are all brawn and no brains. They punch first and never ask questions. Those interested in improving their Strength for increased Critical Damage would do well to choose the Village Idiot, an excellent choice for powerful characters like the Clawbringer. Village idiots also have lowered Intelligence, meaning their Spell Cooldowns take longer.
Raised by Elves
Raised by Elves are nimble but weak warriors that excel at striking enemy weak points. If you're interested in improving the rate at which you dole out Criticals, Raised by Elves is a solid choice. This Character Background enhances Dexterity at the cost of some of your Constitution, meaning you'll have lower health if you choose this Character Background. Raised by Elves is an ideal choice for ranged combatants like the Spore Warden.
Failed Monk
Are you a wise warrior that's a tad clumsy? After a costly mistake, the Failed Monk fled his monastery and ventured out as Fatemaker. Failed Monks see improvements to their Intelligence and Wisdom in exchange for weakened Strength and Dexterity. Failed Monk is a viable choice for casters like the Spellshot due to the improved Spell Cooldown and improved Status Damage.
Recovering Inventory Hoarder
Can't decide what items to toss out? It sounds like you're an Inventory Hoarder. Players who want to use their Action Skills repeatedly could make use of the Inventory Hoarders capabilities. This Character Background works with characters like Spellshot and Graveborn, who rely on casting to deal damage. Inventory Hoarder lowers both Spell Cooldown and Skill Cooldown via Intelligence and Attunement boosts. Dexterity and Constitution take a reduction, however, mitigating Crit Chance and Max HP/Ward.
Rogue Alchemist
Rogue Alchemists don't follow the rules or regulations, using their skills to make quick cash. Users interested in inflicting Status Damage on their enemies would do well to choose the Rogue Alchemist as it boosts Wisdom significantly. This stark boost to Wisdom comes at the cost of Dexterity and Constitution, meaning Crit Chance and Max HP/Ward are lower.
