All changes to Ranked Points (RP) in Apex Legends Season 11: Escape

For Season 11 of Apex Legends, Ranked Points are getting an overhaul. Ranked Points, or RP, are what players receive in Ranked Battle Royale (Ranked Leagues) from placing well in matches or killing enemies to advance their rank. While placement RP is not changing for the time being, RP received from killing enemies is. If you kill someone of the same rank as you, there is no difference, but if you kill someone of a higher or lower rank, that is where things begin to deviate.

Getting kills on players of a different rank than you is now calculated differently. If you kill someone of a higher rank, it is worth more RP. Killing someone of a lower rank is worth less RP. The number of points received from a kill are still affected by the placement modifier in the same way, and that placement bonus will be added to whatever original value was earned. Note that Apex Predator and Master Rank are treated as the same tier. There are six tiers in total: Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond, and Master/Predator.

New Kill Point RP System

Relative TierBase Kill RP
3 Lower3
2 Lower5
1 Lower8
Same Tier10
1 Higher12
2 Higher15
3 Higher20

Placement modifiers for kills that stack with these values are as follows:

  • +2 per kill from 10 Squads Left to 6 Squads Left
  • +5 per kill from 5 Squads Left to 4 Squads Left
  • +10 per kill from 3 Squads Left to 2 Squads Left
  • +15 per kill for winning the match

After multipliers are applied, the maximum amount of RP you can receive via the new kill point system is 175 RP. Any kills dealt after this will not affect your RP. The RP you receive for kills will be added to your placement RP after a match, and your entry cost will be deducted from the sum of the two to give you your RP score for any given game.
